How to Add a Modded Map to a BeamMP Server | PingByte

BeamMP

📥 Step 1: Log In to Your Server Panel
Open your hosting panel and select your BeamMP server.

🛑 Step 2: Stop Your Server
Before making any file changes, stop your server from the dashboard to prevent file corruption or crashes.

🗂 Step 3: Access the File Manager or FTP
Navigate to your server’s File Manager tab.
Alternatively, you can connect using an FTP client such as FileZilla for faster uploads.

📦 Step 4: Locate the Mods Folder
Open the directory path:

/Resources/Client/

If you don’t see a Client folder, create one manually. This is where all modded maps should be placed.

🌍 Step 5: Download Your Modded Map
Go to a trusted BeamNG mod site such as:

Download the .zip file of your desired map.
Do not extract the archive, BeamMP reads .zip files directly.

⬆️ Step 6: Upload the Map to Your Server
Using the File Manager or FTP, upload the map’s .zip file into the /Resources/Client/ folder.
Wait for the upload to finish before proceeding.

⚙️ Step 7: Configure the Map in the Startup Settings
Go to your server’s Startup tab.
Look for the option labeled Map.
Enter the name of the map file (without “.zip”) — for example:

/levels/Replace_This_info/info.json

🔄 Step 8: Restart Your Server
Return to the dashboard and click Start or Restart.
Your server will now load the modded map automatically.

Step 9: Test the Map
Launch BeamNG.drive and join your server.
You should now spawn on the custom map you uploaded.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Do not rename .zip files unless you update the map field to match.

  • Only use reputable mod sources to avoid corrupted or unsafe files.

👉 That’s it! Your BeamMP server is now running a custom modded map, perfect for exploring, racing, or roleplay sessions with friends.
